WHY FILM PHOTOGRAPHY?

Texture + Authenticity

I fell in love with film photography in 2024, and haven't looked back. In a world of flat AI digital images, 35mm brings an honest, human, living texture that I adore.


On film: skin tones are perfect, reds and blues pop, and the photos have a vivid, alive feeling to them that digital photos struggle to capture. I shoot film exclusively, and telling stories through its grain, warmth, and colors has become second nature to me.

I was born and raised in Austin, and began photographing the city in my teen years. I started this business because I want to contribute something to Austin's artists, culture, and the medium of photography.


I love this town and its people. I've met and connected with many artists and creatives on set and at events. I have access to the resources, locations, and connections necessary to make pretty much any style of shoot happen.

I don't just show up to shoot, we'll build a visual world together. Every session includes a 30-45m "design call" + access to my phone number to tailor every element of the shoot to your vision and needs.


I often shoot a gritty, cinematic style which I find lends itself very well to film. I love golden hour, blue hour, shooting with multiple outfits, and try to create an aesthetic for you and your art or business to live in.

I specialize in shaping light, and bring your aesthetic vision to life through it.


With a background in technical lighting on for movie productions, for companies like Torchy's Tacos, HID Security, Austin FC, and under directors like Robert Rodriguez and Joseph Vanoye, I've been mentored by some of the best local gaffers in town. (Shoutout Todd Smiley!)


This cinematic edge is something I think you feel in my photos and the world I'm building with my work. I'm always thinking about light, and I bring a small lighting package to every shoot.

HOW DOES THE FILM PROCESS WORK? DO I GET PRINTS, OR DIGITAL FILES?

The film we shoot will be developed and scanned by a local lab here in town, and I'll retouch those files and deliver them digitally to you!

To many people's surprise, no! I've never had an issue with any of the film I've shot before, and the labs I use have been completely reliable!
